Dr. Henry A. Hillebrand

Dr. Henry A. Hillebrand, 70, of Media, PA died Wednesday,February 24, 2021 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA.

Born January 23, 1951 in New York City, NY, he was the son of the late Harry F. Hillebrand and the late Felicita Melendez.

Henry graduated as valedictorian from the Puerto Rico High School of Commerce in 1967. In 1975, he received his D.M.D. from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry and was a member of their Beta Gamma Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. He then continued on to specialize in an orthodontics residency program at University of Maryland, 1977.  

He spent his career in public and private orthodontic practice.

He practiced and served with the U.S. Army for 6 years, during which time he attained the rank of Major. He was stationed in Augsburg, Germany during his service. Afterward, he began working at The Orthodontist starting in 1983. He practiced there for 8 years, while working on opening up his own private practice in Brookhaven, PA. In February 1993, Brookhaven Orthodontics officially opened for business where he practiced with his wife, Diane, for 28 years.

Henry treasured the time he spent with his family, including leading Sunday family fellowships, camping, boating, movie nights, and holiday or vacation trips. He enjoyed many hobbies including working out at the Rocky Run YMCA, watching historical documentaries, target shooting and reloading ammunition, playing music on his guitar/bass guitar, and car collection and restoration. 

In addition to his wife, Diane M., he is survived by his children Gabriel F., Deidre M., and Candace L. Hillebrand. 

Visitation, Service, and Interment will be private on Thursday March 4, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
