Doreen E. Kelly

Doreen E. Kelly, 69 of Norristown, PA passed away Wednesday August 20, 2025, at Albert Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in East Norriton.

Born March 17, 1956, in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alvy L. Kelly and the late Adelyene Izzi Kelly.

Doreen, affectionately known as "Kelly," proudly embraced her Italian and Irish heritage. She cherished having her birthday on St. Patrick's Day, celebrating by dressing in green and enjoying ham and cabbage. However, her Italian side shone even brighter when she cooked. Doreen loved making pasta and sauces, and her green bean salad was always a crowd-pleaser.

Doreen's true passion lay with her Philadelphia sports teams. Whether it was the Eagles, Phillies, or Flyers playing, she never missed a game. She knew all the players by name, number, and position. Her family could always expect a phone call after the game, where Doreen would provide a play-by-play analysis of each player's strengths and weaknesses. She took immense pride when the Eagles won the Super Bowl, as if she had coached them herself.

Doreen grew up in West Chester, Pennsylvania and graduated from Henderson High School in 1974.  She was employed by Oliver Tyrone Pulver Corporation and worked as an Accounting Executive until she retired in 2020. 

Doreen is survived by her brother, Steven L. Kelly (Donna); nephews, John Malacinski, Shawn Cassidy, Steven Kelly, Matthew Kelly and niece Kara Miller;  1 grandnephew, 5 grandnieces and brother-in-law, Jack Cassidy.

She was preceded in death by sister, Karen Cassidy.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 10:00 am – 10:45 am at St. Agnes Church 233 W. Gay St. West Chester, PA  19380, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.

Interment will be private.
