Donna H. Simpson

Donna H. Simpson passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025. She is now reunited with her beloved husband of almost 51yrs Jack Simpson, who preceded her in death on February 22,2023.

Donna and Jack were both very active in the Real Estate community for many years until their retirement. Donna enjoyed gardening, decorating, cooking, sewing, knitting and painting. She was the modern-day Martha Stewart

She is survived by her two sons, M. Scott (Denise) and Christopher Streit. Donna is also survived by her grandchildren, Stephen Streit and Erin Foster and great grandchildren Emily, Wyatt, Jake and Katie, as well as two sisters Carol L. Ohlson and Linda Holtz Martin.  

Additionally, we would like to include the passing of her husband, John R. “Jack” Simpson, February 22, 2023. Jack was a man who lived life to its fullest, including elusively chasing that sub par round of golf.  He was always happy and had many friends and loved deeply by family.  Jack was an exceptional husband to Donna and had several close friends with whom they traveled and had good times. Jack was also known far and wide to concoct a truly killer Bloody Mary.  Best on the East Coast, if not all of North America!

Jack is survived by his sons, Scott (Denise) Streit and Chris Streit, two grandchildren, Stephen Streit and Erin Foster, along with four beloved great grandchildren, Wyatt, Emily, Jake and Katie.

Jack was pre-deceased on May 5, 2021, by his daughter Jayne R. McDonald who he loved and cherished dearly. 

We will always love and miss Jack.  You can rest in peace now with Mom.

A private interment for both was held at Birmingham Cemetery on Thursday, January 16, 2025.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
