Diana Frank Kane (Grammy) was born on November 10, 1933 and stepped into the arms of Jesus Christ on August 17th 2024. At the time of her passing she had family at her bedside to comfort her knowing that we will all meet again in a better place. She has been reunited with her first and only love Leroy H. Kane Sr. who has been awaiting her arrival.
She was the daughter of the late Anna Marie and John Godfrey Frank. Diana/Grammy was the longest living sibling and was predeceased by brothers John, Charles and Raymond as well as sisters Marie, Alice Lillian, Kathleen, Sarah, Helen, June and Alice.
She is survived by her children Leroy H Kane Jr., Dr. Diana Kane and Patricia Major. The immediate grandchildren Christopher, Alex, John Paul as well as Amanda, Noel and Chloe. There are also more than 35 first nieces and nephews as part of the Frank family as well.
For seven years, she was lovingly cared for by the staff at the Hickman Friends Senior Community. There she found many women in her same situation. In her younger years, she would watch the younger siblings, so once she was settled at the Hickman she began to “watch” all of the ladies to be sure everyone was okay. For her she was watching her siblings again and felt it was “her job”. The staff at the Hickman enjoyed watching how she was the “older sister” to so many.
While she will be missed by so many, too many to count, she can now reunite with Poppy and all of her sisters that have been waiting for her.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 10:00 am - 10:45 am at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380, followed by her Memorial Service at 11:00 am.
Interment will be private.
