Dennis C. Spitz, 79 of Coatesville, PA passed peacefully on Tuesday April 18, 2023, at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA.
He was the husband of Bonnie L. Tucker-Spitz (Miller).
Born July 18, 1943, at Memorial Hospital in West Chester, PA. He was the son of the late Coleman D. Spitz and the late Candida Spitz Mitchelli.
Dennis grew up in West Chester, PA. and graduated from West Chester Joint Senior High School and attended IBM technical school. He was a Jack of All Trades, tractor trailer operator for Matlack Trucking in Essington PA, insurance salesman for Sun Life before opening The Spitz Insurance Agency in Coatesville PA, crane operator at Lukens Steel in Coatesville, and a school bus driver for Krapf Bus working in the Exton & West Chester areas.
Dennis was a member of the Masons West Chester Lodge # 322. He was Episcopalian then converted to Roman Catholic for many years before converting to the Lutheran faith later in life. Dennis never met a stranger, he enjoyed golf, was a member of Coatesville Country Club, he was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, loved traveling with his wife, and enjoyed Ocean City MD.
In addition to his wife, Dennis is survived by, daughters, Dawn Raup, husband Bill, and Candi Kulesa, husband Jon, stepson Tony Hadley, stepdaughters, Michelle Hughes, husband Kevin, Kathy Medina husband Joe, 9 grandchildren, Melissa Goepfert, Jeff Goepfert(Laura), Christina McLaughlin(Steven), Joe Cavuto, Phillip Cifone(Amanda), Peter Cifone, Justin Hughes, Anna Medina, Emily Medina, 12 great grandchildren, Lydia, Aubrie, Valerie, Erica, Liam, Zoey, Cooper, Natalie, Madison, Abigail, Lailah, and Myles and many beloved nieces and nephews, a brother Daniel Spitz(Lisa) and sister Susan Ross.
He was preceded in death by wife Ann Spitz and stepdaughter Donna Hadley.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 9:00 am - 10:45 am at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
Interment will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Coatesville PA.
