Debora-Lu Tashjian

Debora-Lu Tashjian (71) of Gaithersburg, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at George Washington University Hospital.  She was the loving wife of the late Harry Tashjian III, mother to Harry Tashjian IV and the late Debora-Lu Yepremian, grandmother to Harry Tashjian V, and sister to Kenneth Harold Guveyian and Tina Ann Adamek. 

Born September 26, 1952 in Bryn Mawr, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harold Guveyian and the late Lucy Zoulikian Guveyian.  Debbie grew up in Marple Township where she was Miss Marple Gardens and was a girl scout. She graduated from Marple Newtown High School where she participated in lacrosse, field hockey, student council, and played cello and bass in the orchestra.

She attended Brandywine College, graduating with an associate's degree in Business Administration, then continuing to earn a bachelor’s degree from West Chester University. 

Debbie and her husband Harry were proud to serve the West Chester community, as they built and grew HTA Financial, an insurance brokerage.  Debora-Lu enjoyed decades of fellowship at Saint Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church. 

Debora-Lu is survived by her son, Harry Tashjian IV (wife Irina), grandson, Harry Tashjian V, and siblings, Tina Adamek (husband Walter) and Ken Guveyian. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 11:00 am - 11:45 am at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380, with the funeral service by Very Reverend Father Boghos Tinkjian to follow at 12:00 pm.

Interment will be in Oaklands Cemetery.
