David Brown Trimble, 83, of West Chester, PA, passed away Sunday July 5, 2026.
Born March 16, 1943, in West Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Stephen M Trimble, Jr. and the late Ruth Balderston Trimble.
David grew up in West Chester and attended Westtown School. He graduated from Temple University High School in Philadelphia and attended Guilford College in North Carolina. During the Vietnam conflict, David served as a conscientious objector, working as an orderly at a mental hospital.
He worked as a paint delivery driver for Sherwin Williams for many years and previously was a Cobol programmer for Chemical Leaman and other companies.
He enjoyed autocross driving and won many trophies for racing in his younger years. He loved driving and working on automobiles, and his prized possession was a Mazda MX5 Miata that he would cruise around in, top down—even when it was just a touch too chilly to do so. David also enjoyed collecting firearms and target shooting.
David is survived by his beloved sons, Stephen M Trimble and Michael O Trimble, as well as his treasured grandson, Owen, son of Michael.
Services & Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Brandywine Valley SPCA.
