David Aaron Leibenhaut

David Aaron Leibenhaut, 75 years old of Cochranville, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at his home.

Born August 3, 1948, in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Charles Leibenhaut and the late Rae Esformes Leibenhaut. He was the husband of Susan VanDerbeek Leibenhaut for 43 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Ashley Leibenhaut Cox and Caitlin Leibenhaut MacPherson, his sons-in-law, Louis and Douglas, and his granddaughters, Fiona and Lillian. He is also survived by his sister Flora Bernard.

David grew up in Bergenfield, NJ and graduated from Bergenfield High School and Fairleigh Dickinson University. After college, he worked in home furnishings sales for 40 years prior to retirement. He and Susan lived abroad for four years in Beijing, China.

David will be remembered as an engaging and charismatic individual with a larger-than-life personality. He was known for his sharp sense of humor and his gentle, warm demeanor. He had a way of making people feel special and at ease. He was a talented musician and played guitar every day. He enjoyed taking drives in his convertible and searching for treasures to add to his collections. Above all, he loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Interment will be private, and a celebration of life will be at a later date.
