Obituary

Daniel Joseph Kohler, 56 of Guatemala, formerly of Honey Brook, died Friday August 14, 2020 in Guatemala.

Born June 11, 1964 in York, PA he was the son of Constance L. Kohler, and the late Edward J. Kohler.

Dan had a passion for helping others. He was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of West Chester. He studied to become a Stephen Minister to learn how to bring Christ’s love and care to people during a time of need. While on a missionary trip to Guatemala he found a true calling and discovered an affinity to the country and its people. Dan dedicated himself to helping the sister church Iglesia Getsemani in Guatemala. Many people know of his compassion and of the many lives he touched.

He enjoyed many adventures, including sailing on his Dad’s boat, bicycling with a riding club, and skiing with friends.

In addition to his mother, Daniel is survived by his sister, Audrey Henning, nephew, Ryland Henning, and niece, Ellesa Henning.
