Craig Lindsay Obituary

Craig H. Lindsay of West Chester.

Craig H. Lindsay, 62 of West Chester, PA died Tuesday May 8, 2018 at the Neighborhood Hospice.

He was the husband of Shirley DeAngelo Lindsay and shared 39 years of marriage.

Born September 8, 1955 in Middleburg, PA he was the son of the late Raymond C. Lindsay and the late Jean E. Hummel Lindsay.

Craig lived his life in Middleburg and Chester County. He was a member of the VFW Post 106.

He worked with his parents in the family owned business, RC Lindsay Trucking Company, located in Malvern for many years. His father owned the tanker trucks and Craig was tractor trailer operator and helped his parents with deliveries to fill pools in the summer months and in the off season they worked to haul materials for contracted firms.

Craig had a developed business sense that was inherited from working with his mother in the family business. He continued his career with his own business, CRS Auto Parts that operated in the Chester Springs area for many years. Brie, His daughter, was able to work alongside him and learn from her father about the auto part sales end of CRS. They had 10 plus years working together.

He also had an additional location that his father ran to deliver auto parts to shops in State College area of PA. This was an additional enjoyment that kept his father and Craig close. Craig had a unique talent to restore vehicles and his passion continued after his own retirement. His last restoration projects were a '68 Plymouth Road Runner and a '37 Chevy Truck. Craig also worked with his father to restore autos, tractors and trucks during their times together. Something they both enjoyed.

Craig was trying to recover from his illness, but God's calling was swift. His time here was not complete but what was accomplished was part of his plan. Such a good man will forever touch our lives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Brie N. Lindsay of West Chester, PA, son, Craig R. Lindsay of West Chester, PA, brother, Steven R. Lindsay of Newtown Square, PA, sister, Jane Given (Herbie) of Winter Haven, FL, brother in law, Arthur T. DeAngelo, Jr. (Angela) of Brandywine Valley, PA, aunt, Joyce Hummel Sheetz of Middleburg, PA, many cousins, nieces, nephews and great friends that cared for him deeply
