Connell P. O'Rourke

Connell Patrick O’Rourke, 19, of Malvern, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly on July 13, 2023 in Bethany Beach, Delaware. He was the beloved son of Kevin and Kristen O’Rourke and loving brother to Kieran and Finley O’Rourke.

Connell was a 2022 graduate of Malvern Preparatory School and had recently completed his freshman year at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he was majoring in Business Analytics. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Malvern.

Although his life ended much too soon, Connell lived his nineteen years to the fullest. He loved the ocean and summers in Bethany Beach, all things sports - especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and the UTK Volunteers - and spending time with his family, many friends and dog Nola. He felt blessed to have been serving as a lifeguard with the North Bethany Beach Patrol this summer.

In addition to his parents, brother and sister he is survived by his grandmother Sharon O’Rourke, uncles Chris (Jenny) O’Rourke and Thomas Carey, aunt Kelly O’Rourke and five cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents Paul and Emlyn Carey and Paul O’Rourke.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 10:00 am - 11:45 am at SS. Peter & Paul Church 1325 E. Boot Rd. West Chester, PA 19380 followed by his Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon. Interment will be private.
