Clifford John Wolfe

Clifford John Wolfe of West Chester, PA passed away on Friday October 27, 2023, at Chester County Hospital surrounded by family. He was 85.

He was the husband of Mary Ann Wolfe (neé Plunkett).

Born December 26, 1937, in Philadelphia, PA to Clifford Wolfe and Esther Wolfe (neé Coe),

Clifford grew up in Sharon Hill, P.A. and graduated from Saint Joseph’s Prep and Saint Joseph’s University. He owned and operated Wolfe’s Baldwin Brass Center for 21 years with his wife Mary Ann. He was a parishioner of the SS. Simon & Jude Church and a member of The Knights of Columbus-Saint Ann’s Council in Bethany Beach, DE.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and spent many hours doting on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as his many grand-dogs. He enjoyed gardening, especially tending to his award-winning roses. Clifford loved the ocean and spent many years living in Bethany Beach, Delaware. He always looked forward to building sandcastles and body surfing with his grandchildren. He enjoyed riding the waves into his eighties and was always disappointed when they weren’t rough.

Clifford had a special devotion to Our Blessed Mother and prayed constantly for the protection of unborn babies.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Kathleen Alexander and her husband David, David Wolfe and his wife Kathleen, Ann Marie Gillinger and her husband Robert, grandchildren, Bridget, Benjamin, Mary Kate, Robert, Olivia, Daniel, David, Elizabeth and brothers, Gary Wolfe, and Raymond Wolfe.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass 12:30 PM on Friday November 3, 2023 at the SS. Simon & Jude Church 8 Cavanaugh Court West Chester, PA 19382

Interment will be in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery Springfield PA.
