Official Obituary of

Christopher Leigh Turner

July 21, 1977 ~ September 16, 2026 (age 49) 49 Years Old

Obituary

Christopher Leigh Turner, beloved husband, father, son, brother, attorney, and friend, of Glenmoore, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 16, 2026, after a courageous four-year battle with brain cancer. He was 49 years old.

Christopher was born on July 21, 1977, in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania to Donald and Dianne Turner. From an early age, he distinguished himself through his intelligence, athleticism, faith, quick wit, and love of family. Chris was friends with everyone and well loved by all who crossed his path. A gifted student and an avid reader, Chris possessed a bright mind and a lifelong curiosity for learning and growth. Chris loved to travel and in his younger years visited close to 30 countries. He loved basketball, watching sports, listening to music, skiing, running, biking, and anything that kept him moving. He was happiest when he was active and rarely ever sat still. Chris loved food and had a discerning palette, but a home cooked meal was the key to his heart.

Chris was a gifted athlete. During his years at Devon Preparatory School, his talent and dedication to basketball earned him a place in the school’s history as its all-time leading scorer, a record which still stands today. Chris attended and graduated from Villanova University, where he formed lifelong friendships. He went on to earn his law degree from Widener Law School, proudly following in his father’s footsteps and beginning a career in law that would lead him to become a respected attorney and, ultimately, a partner at Unruh, Turner, Burke & Frees. Chris was a skilled debater and well suited to the career he chose. He brought to his profession the same thoughtfulness, integrity, and perseverance that defined him throughout his life. One of his greatest gifts was his ability to bring people together. Whether in his professional or personal life, Chris had a remarkable way of building connections, finding common ground, and making those around him feel valued and heard.

Chris was the beloved husband of Carly Turner, whom he met in 2008, and the devoted and immensely proud father of their children, Leo and Pippa, who were, as he affectionately called them, his “heart and soul.” He adored his family and took great pride in watching his children grow. Of all the roles he held throughout his life, being a husband and father was the one he treasured most. His family was his greatest joy, his deepest pride, and the most important part of his life.

Chris will be dearly missed by his wife, Carly Turner and their children Leo and Pippa; parents, Donald and Dianne Turner; his brother, Andrew Turner (wife, Jennifer); his nieces and nephew; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless dear friends.

Christopher leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, intellect, humility, perseverance, and devotion. His remarkable resilience throughout his cancer journey made him a hero to all who loved him. He faced each day with extraordinary courage and fought for every precious moment, inspiring those around him with his strength, determination, and unwavering spirit. He will be sorely missed and remembered not only for his passions and accomplishments, but for the lives he touched, the love he gave, and the lasting impression he made on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation (9-11:45 am) will be followed by a Funeral Mass (12 pm) at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Chester Springs, PA on Friday, September 25, 2026.  Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Christopher and celebrate a life that, though far too short, was deeply and meaningfully lived. May Christopher rest in the peace of Christ surrounded forever by love.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Christopher Leigh Turner Memorial Fund to support his young children and family.
