Chris came into the world on June 27th, 1960, his Parents Margaret (Peggy) and Eugene Francis Burke (Gene) awaited his arrival at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, where his mom had trained and worked. Peggy and Gene have gone to heaven. Christopher joined them on February 15th, 2026, after a difficult course with pneumonia at Chester County Hospital.
Before his declining health, Chris enjoyed a magical romance with his soulmate, Nancy who he met in October of 1986 at Delaware County Community College. They always knew what the other was thinking without talking. Even after the almost four decades, they could be observed sitting quietly together, talking, sharing inside jokes, or discussing their cats with shared love. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy C Burke. She is grateful for the 33 and a half years of a wonderful and special marriage. They were not only husband and wife, but best friends; sharing a love for their cats, Razzy and Charlie, whom they treated as though they were human grandchildren! Chris and Nancy related to their cats as friends. They enjoyed going for walks at Ridley Creek State Park, and going out to eat at the Ram’s Diner, Gram’s Kitchen and the West Chester Diner, where the staff were welcoming.
Chris’s memory is cherished by his loving family on Nancy’s side: Nancy’s siblings; Liz and (David Sheslow,) their children, Annalise and Paul (Brittany Rivero), John Conboy (Maryann Reynolds), Patricia Kuzyk (Mark Kuzyk), Margaret Conboy, and Jess Prince (Jason Prince).
Chris is also survived by his cousin, Michael Connely and his aunt Norma Nacchio and many cousins on Gene’s side.
Chris worked for 25 years as a Direct Care Counselor at Brian’s House. He left them with memories of his caring, consistency, and competence.
