Christina M. Lee, 93, of Damascus, Maryland passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Christina was lovingly cared for by her eldest son, James, until her passing. She was the wife of the late Jacob F. Lee for 57 wonderful years.
Born April 6, 1932, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Soo Moy and the late Mamie Mark Moy. Christina grew up in Philadelphia’s Chinatown and graduated from Central HS. She worked in the family restaurant and was President of the High School Student Athletic Association. She was also on the school newspaper, cheer squad, tennis squad and bowling team. She attended Glassboro State Teachers College in NJ and worked as a teacher in the Information Technology Department at Montgomery Community College in Rockville, Maryland for 20 years.
Christina enjoyed traveling all over the U.S., China, Hong Kong and going on cruise ships to many Caribbean islands. She adored her grandchildren and helped take care of them during grade school. She attended all of their recitals and other school events. She also loved dogs and was often seen sneaking them treats whenever she could. Christina had a wonderful sense of humor and an easy laugh. She also loved to cook and passed on her culinary skills to her children, who cherish her family recipes.
Christina is survived by her sons, James J. Lee and John F. Lee and John's spouse Jana Lee, her daughter Jennifer A. Whalen and Jennifer’s spouse Mark A. Whalen, and by six grandchildren; Matthew Lee, Madeline Lee, Erin Whalen, Kelly Whalen, Jacob Lee and his spouse Julia Lee, Jessica Noyes and her spouse Mike Noyes, and two great grandchildren Jade Noyes and Maisie Noyes and many nieces and nephews.
Christina was preceded in death by her husband Jacob Lee, her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Jack Chin, another sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Edward Kee, and her brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Janet Moy.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 10:00 am - 10:45 am at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
Interment will be in Oaklands Cemetery West Chester PA.
