Cheryl Lee Leiser

Cheryl Lee Leiser, 79 of York, PA passed away Monday March 24, 2025 at Simpson Meadows in Downingtown. She was the wife of the late Stephen M. Leiser. Born September 16,1945 in Milton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Bruce Hause and the late Pauline Moser Hause. Cheryl graduated from Milton High School in 1963 and received her Practical Nursing degree through the Nursing program at York Tech. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 43 years at Manor Care Kingston Court.

Cheryl was a member of St. Peter’s Parish, Columbia and St. Agnes Church, West Chester.

She especially loved spending time with her family, decorating for the holidays, collecting pigs, and traveling. She was also an avid sports fan from supporting the Ravens and York Catholic High School basketball to her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was always there cheering them on.

Cheryl is survived by her daughter, LeeAnne Hosking (Frank, Jr.) of West Chester, daughter, DeeAnne Pohlmann (Frank), Marinette, WI, and son, William Michael, Jr. (Kellie), Watsontown.

Her pride and joy were her seven grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as Nanny: Frank Hosking III (Victoria), West Chester, Evan Pohlmann, Arlington, VA, Erik Pohlmann, Cork, Ireland, William Michael III, Watsontown, Matthew Hosking (Katelyn), West Chester, Sophie Pohlmann, Chicago, IL, Hannah Michael, Watsontown.

Cheryl is also survived by her sister, Karen Shriner (Robert), nieces Melissa Faciana (James) and Clarissa Allbritton (Kenneth) along with great nephews Colin Faciana (Alexis) and great, great nephews Brandon and Ryan, Connor Faciana, and great niece Morgan Faciana all of Ohio.

Services and Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Cheryl Leiser to Simpson Meadow’s Christmas Employee Fund and mailed to Simpson Meadows Residence Council, Attn: Treasurer, 101 Plaza Dr., Downingtown, PA 19335
