Charles (Charlie) W. Dumont III, 92, of Downingtown, PA died Tuesday December 22, 2020 at Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honey Brook, PA.
He was the husband of the late Jeanne Caffey Dumont.
Born March 2, 1928 in Bronxville, NY he was the son of the late Charles W. Dumont and the late Carlie Bailey Dumont.
Charles graduated from Bronxville High School, attended Lehigh University and graduated from American International College.
He was a sergeant who served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.
Charles worked for 30 years as a sales manager for Fearn Foods a division of Kellogg Company. He was warmly known as “Charlie Le Gout”.
He was an active member of West Chester Exchange Club and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity of Chester County.
Charles enjoyed golf, tennis and was an avid Eagles fan.
He is survived by his daughter Kathy Bergmann (Don), sons Charles Dumont and David Dumont (Teresa), nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation on Saturday May 1, 2021 from 11:00am - 11:30am at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, 410 N Church St., West Chester, PA followed by his Memorial Service at 11:30am.
Interment will be in Birmingham Lafayette-Cemetery West Chester, PA
