Catherine Petti Watson

Catherine Giuliano Petti Watson, 92 years of age, was peacefully and gently called home by the Good Lord on January 24, at Wellington at Hershey’s Mill, surrounded by her two children.

Known as Cassie, she was born on July 2, 1932, to the late Leonardo Giuliano and Rose Rocco Giuliano. Cassie was born and raised in South Philadelphia, later residing in Northeast Philadelphia where she raised her children, finally retiring in West Chester. She was employed in a variety of capacities such as secretarial for Fox Chase Cancer Center and confectionary work for Whitman’s Chocolates. Her role as a mother and homemaker, however, was her primary focus.

Cassie was an amazing cook, possessed a fiery personality, and was known for unapologetically speaking her mind. Her longevity had to be from all those long walks, many glasses of Italian red wine, and her love of social engagement with family and friends. 

She is survived by her two children, Michele Schuster and Kevin Petti, and predeceased by their father Pasquale Petti. Cassie had four sisters, the late Clara Wilson and Lucrezia Colantonio, and is survived by Frances Holland and Rosalie Barry. Cassie had five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Services and internment will be private.
