Barbara George Frazer

Barbara George Frazer passed away peacefully on January 24, 2023 at her home in Waverly Heights, Gladwyne, PA.

Barbara grew up in West Chester PA, graduated from West Chester High School and Bucknell University, where she majored in commerce and finance. She worked in public relations at DuPont in Wilmington, DE.

Barbara married William Edward Frazer, Jr. (Ted) in 1957, and they settled in Gladwyne, PA. together. Barbara spent many years supporting her community. She was deeply committed for years to the Gladwyne Presbyterian Church, the Gladwyne Library, Riverbend Environmental Education Center, and St. Christopher's Hospital for Children to name a few.

Barbara was an avid outdoorswoman. She could be found skiing downhill and cross-country, golfing, hiking, or canoeing. She had a deep love of nature and the environment, and was an avid gardener. Barbara was a long-time member of Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, PA and the Sonnenalp Club in the Vail Valley of CO.

Barbara's other great passion was her family. She adored hosting them for holidays and year-round activities in her home in Gladwyne, the Vail Valley, and Amelia Island, FL over the years. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ted, and son William Edward Frazer, III (Teddy), as well as her parents Norman and Naomi George. She is survived by her daughter Elaine Colvin (Jeff), and grandchildren Noah, Sterling, and Landon Colvin.

Barbara will be laid to rest in private at Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery in West Chester, PA.
