She was the beloved wife of the late Ted Lamar Artz, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage until his passing in 2020.
Born in Fountain Springs, PA, and a graduate of Butler Township High School, she was the daughter of the late Paul S. Martin and Marian L. Martin.

She was a devoted member at Westminster Presbyterian Church for 48 years in West Chester.

Barbara loved talking on the phone with family and friends for extended periods of time. She was an avid reader of books and still had a subscription to Reader's Digest.
She spent her extra time cooking, baking, taking photos, handwriting cards and letters.
