Audrey K. Stratman

Audrey Kathleen Stratman (nee Boyle), 89, passed away on November 10, 2024, surrounded by her children in West Chester, Pennsylvania. 

Audrey was born on May 10, 1935 to the late James F. Boyle and Hilda C. Boyle (nee Lingg) in Cincinnati, Ohio.

After graduating from Mother of Mercy High School, Audrey met her future husband John C. Stratman, Jr. They were wed in April, 1960 and lovingly raised their four children. They were married for 56 years until John’s passing in 2016.

Audrey loved playing golf, and was an accomplished member of the Hershey’s Mill women’s golf team. She also enjoyed her bridge group, and traveling the world with her husband. In their later years, they spent their winters relaxing in Venice, Florida. But more than anything else, she adored spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She leaves behind a loving family: children, John C. Stratman III and his wife Karen, Paul G. Stratman and his wife Jennifer Gregan, Lauren S. Allen and her husband Jay Ecklund and Karen S. Chimes and her husband Michael. Audrey was a proud grandmother to Parry, Caitlyn, John IV, Mark, Eric, Megan, Alicia, Thomas and Daniel, and great grandmother to Rhea.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Stratman, Jr., her parents, James F. Boyle and Hilda C. Boyle, her siblings Virginia Bauer, Lillian Boyle, Anna Mae Myers and James Boyle and her daughter-in-law Christine Sliva.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 10:00 am – 10:45 am at SS. Peter & Paul Church 1325 E. Boot Rd. West Chester, PA 19380, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery
