Anthony J. Haday

Anthony J Haday, known as Tony to friends and family, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 12th, 2026. He passed away after a prolonged illness. He was predeceased by his Ukrainian-born parents, Anton J Haday and Ekatarina Gula Haday. He was also predeceased by his siblings Stephen, Michael, Olga, Dorothy, Mary, and Lecia.

Tony was born on July 1, 1943, the youngest of seven children. He served briefly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Afterward, he began a 35-year career with PennDOT, which concluded with his retirement.

Tony met his wife in 1981. After 12 years together, they married in 1993 and spent the next 45 years as a couple. He loved his home and yard, as well as his plants and the animals who visited. An avid bird lover, he always kept feeders stocked and birdbaths clean. In his final years, as dementia progressed, he and his wife moved to Glen Mills Senior Living, where he lived in the memory care unit. He fought his illness until his passing, leaving to be with his Lord and his many puppies. He awaits reunion with his wife.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of nearly 34 years, Linda (Coomer) Haday. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Benjamin (Valerie) Coomer, and their son Norman. His sister-in-law is Donna Coomer. His step-daughters are Donna (Gerry) DiNunzio and Aimee Rennard. Tony's step-grandchildren are Joshua DiNunzio and Allyssa (Brad) Carabello. He has three step-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
