Anthony DiRocco, Jr. Obituary

Anthony F. DiRocco Jr., 85 years old of West Chester, PA passed away at Friends Home in Kennett Square on June 6, 2022.

He was the husband of the late Wanda “Rebecca” DiRocco (Poole).

Born March 12, 1937 in Chester County, West Chester, PA he was the son of the late Anthony F. DiRocco, Sr. and the late Mary F. Polidore DiRocco.

Anthony grew up in West Chester, PA and graduated from West Chester High School, class of 1955.

He worked as a Police Sergeant for West Goshen Police Force for 38 years. After retiring from the police force, he was then Head of Maintenance for West Goshen Township for 15 years.

Anthony was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #11.

He enjoyed dancing, softball and buying/selling antique cars.

Anthony is survived by sister, Evelyn DiRocco of Coatesville; brothers Richard DiRocco (Lois) of West Chester and Greg DiRocco (Lynda) of Downingtown; 1 niece, 6 nephews, 5 great nieces and 7 great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda “Becky” DiRocco.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380; 610-696-1181; www.DellaFH.com and his Funeral Mass on Thursday June 16, 2022 10:00 am at St. Agnes Church, 233 W. Gay St., West Chester, PA 19380.  

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery West Chester PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Brandywine Valley River Hospice 125 Bell Tower Ln., Suite 1B, Oxford, PA 19363 and/or Knights of Columbus Council 1333, PO Box 56, West Chester, PA 19381.
