I am saddened by the loss of Anne. For so many years she was my second mother having spent so many hours and days at the Berardi's home. After moving to the shore I always looked forward to her visits. We loved having her as much as she loved being here. I will truly miss these visits. My sincere sympathy to all of you.

Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to Anne's wonderful family. Anne was an important part of our lives over the last 40 years, we will always cherish those Christmas Eve memories...her laughter would light up the room. She taught us how to truly enjoy entertaining and the meaning of family and friends. Anne will always be a bright star in our hearts.

To Anne's family: My heart is saddened by your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you. I have so many warm memories of Anne, throughout the years that were punctuated by the certainty of Anne's quick smile and infectious laugh. Her kindness and warmth will always be a special part of her legacy. Anne's passing is part of the slow-but-sure ending of the great Chestnut Street Italian era.
