Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Adam Varrenti, Jr. Adam passed away peacefully early Monday, March 23, 2026, at his home in West Chester, PA from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease. He was born on April 9, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of and now lovingly reunited with his parents the late Yolanda (Messina) and Adam Varrenti, Sr.

He was a proud graduate of Holy Cross in Springfield, Archmere Academy High School (Class of 1967), and Villanova University (Class of 1971), where he studied Accounting and Business/Management. He went on to earn the respected professional designations of Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant, and Registered Investment Advisor from the American College of Financial Services. Adam went on to build a career spanning more than 37 years in the finance and accounting fields. Adam held many leadership roles within the industry. He was an entrepreneur that founded the Varrenti Company, Inc, Diversified Financial Group, and Goldberg, Weinstein, and Varrenti.

He was a devoted husband and father, a larger-than-life storyteller, and a quiet supporter of many causes and organizations. In quieter moments, he could often be found sitting in his leather chair while enjoying a cigar and watching his favorite Philadelphia sports teams and NASCAR. He loved going to Villanova basketball games, especially when the team was making one of their many runs to the Final Four. He enjoyed reading and loved traveling.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Diane Squillace-Varrenti, his children Jocelyn (Mark), Adam III (Tara), Melissa (Will), and Andrew (Kristina), and his sister, Florence. He was Pop-Pop to his 5 grandchildren: Teagan, Maeve, Bella, Benjamin, and Aubrey.

He will be missed by his loving family, many friends, and his Hospice family.
