A. Veronica "Ronnie" Porter

A. Veronica "Ronnie" Porter, 77 of West Chester, PA died Sunday May 7, 2023 at her home in West Chester peacefully with her loving family by her side.  

Ronnie was the wife of Kennard G. Porter Jr.

Born July 18, 1945 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late James Towsend Peirce and the late Vaudine Herbster Peirce.

Ronnie grew up in Fredericktown, MD on the Eastern Shore and graduated from Downingtown High School in 1963 & Chester County Hospital School of Nursing in 1977.

She worked as a Registered Nurse for 30 years at Chester County Hospital, Chester County Cancer Center, Infusion Care & volunteered at St. Agnes Women’s Center.

Ronnie was a member of St Peter & Paul Catholic Church.

She enjoyed taking long walks, cycling, reading, spending time with family & friends & sharing her faith with those she met. 

In addition to her husband, Ronnie is survived by her daughter, Tracy Short & son, Frank Wiley. Grandchildren: Ashton Short, Andrew Short, Emma Short, Carter Wiley & Greta Wiley. Brother, James T. Pierce Jr & twin-sister, Connie Scheetz.

She was preceded in death by her father, James T. Peirce: mother, Vaudine H. Bierman & sister, Theresa Jarboe.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM at SS. Peter & Paul Church 1325 E. Boot Rd. West Chester, PA 19380, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. 

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery West Chester PA.
