William Earle Smith, III

William Earle Smith III of Downingtown.

William Earle Smith III, 56, of Downingtown, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017.

He was the husband of Rosemary Weber Smith.

Born December 16, 1960 in West Chester, PA, he was the son of Janet Finegan Smith of West Chester, and the late William Earle Smith Jr.

He was a 1979 graduate of West Chester Henderson High School and attended Penn State University at State College.  

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his sons Joshua William Smith of Downingtown, Justin Smith of Exton and Jason McGhin (Jennifer) of Plymouth Meeting; brother, Lawrence Kevin Smith of West Chester and 4 grandchildren: Aidan and Gwendolyn McGhin and Luke and Charlotte Smith.

He was an avid Penn State football and Philadelphia Eagles fan.  He enjoyed photography and had a love of animals and of music.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 11:00am-1:00pm at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 N. Church St. West Chester, PA 19380, 610-696-1181, www.DellaFH.com; followed by his Memorial Service.
