I met Rita about 15 years ago through our mutual friend Peggy Kane. I was lucky enough to hear about the "hook shot" and "jump shot" adventures from both of them. Rita was a great inspiration to me as a fellow cancer survivor. She even managed to set me straight a time or two re: the cancer when I was being bad. My only regret is that I never got to spend more time with her. She indeed had a wonderful smile and sense of humor. I was so
Pleased to have visited her 3 weeks befor she passed. She was so ill but had s big smile and entertained us the entire visit. Rita, no longer by our side but forever in our hearts. Heaven must be rejoiceing to have you home again. I hope to see you again when my time here is through.
P.S. Rita told me Sister Ellen Thomas was in her band. I knew Sr. Ellen Thomas from Incarnation School in Trenton. If you read this I hope all is well and perhaps you remember me.

Rita was truly my Best Friend Forever. We grew up together......and then after many years, we grew old together. Without a doubt Rita was the kindest, caring most gentle person I ever knew. She is truly a Saint in my mind. We learned to play basketball together when we were very young. She was six and I was eight. We always called each other Hook Shot and Jump Shot. Thank the Lord I was able to visit her three weeks ago. I'll love you forever, Hook Shot!

It was God's plan for you and Sr. Rita to see each other before she went home in Heaven. My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. Love, Alby

Sr. Rita was an angel. Daily she exuded her love for her Lord. Her very caring attitude, consummate patience, extraordinary sense of humor, her radiant smile and her dauntless courage were only a few of her many admirable traits. Her earthly presence provided us with a sneak peek into heaven. It was apparent that the Lord was accompanying her on her journey.

Thank you, Sr. Rita for being a blessed model to me. As you are now seeing Christ and His blessed Mother, and blissful joy is within, know that you will be missed.❤️
