Sebastian Vazquez Beltran, age 22, passed away peacefully October 1st, 2019 in Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base. He was born March, 23 1997 in Puerto Rico. He was a loving son to Maria Beltran and Angel Vazquez, a dear older brother to Oscar Vazquez Beltran, a caring owner to Cali, and a loving boyfriend to Angeline Prakelt. He will be forever remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Sebastian was known for the big remarkable smile he always had on his face. No matter the place, the time, or what was going on, he was always smiling. His smile would make you feel secure. His smile was something you couldn’t forget; it impacted everyone’s lives. He was a jokester at heart and always played around. He knew how to have fun and make everlasting memories.
Sebastian loved being a part of the West Chester community. He attended Fern Hill Elementary School, Pierce Middle School, and Henderson High School. After graduating in 2015, Sebastian enlisted in the Marine Corps. During his time on Active duty, he was first stationed in Okinawa, Japan for 2 years. Japan was a dream place he wanted to travel to because of his love for Japanese cars. He was later stationed in Oceanside, California for another two years. After constantly working hard in his MOS, Motor T, he ranked up and became Sargent in 2019. Sebastian had always told his mother and brother that he wanted to leave the military accomplishing a high rank. His family is truly proud of him. He got to travel the world and fulfil a goal of his to see what the world had to offer. While on Active duty, he also met new people that are now family to him. He grew bonds and made memories that will never be forgotten.
Sebastian and Oscar shared a passion for cars. As little kids, they talked about their future plans to open a garage and start their own mechanic shop. He had plans of moving back to West Chester with his mother and buying his own house. Growing up, Sebastian would watch over his little brother, Oscar, and took him under his wing. He was protective of Oscar and their mother. He did everything for them, including enlisting in the military.
Sebastian Vazquez Beltran will never be forgotten. He will rest in our hearts for eternity. He is in God’s arms now and in a better place. He has fought his battles and completed his mission. He will now rest in peace with no more sufferings.
