Reiley S. Aikman, 73 of West Chester, PA died Thursday July 11, 2019 at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia.
He was the husband of Kathryn Aikman (Koolie), whom recently celebrates 51 years of marriage.
Born August 20, 1945 in West Chester, PA he was the son of the late Everett R. Aikman and the late Martha (Ingram) Aikman.
Reiley graduated from West Chester Henderson High School in 1964.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the Mediterranean on a supply ship USS Sylvania.
Reiley had worked as a Bartender for various places in West Chester, such as Jake’s Bar and the Square Bar.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. He also was a member of the West Chester University Rams Booster Club.
Reiley enjoyed watching sports, especially the Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers, as well as spending time in Ocean City, NJ and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Steve (daughter-in-law Lisa), daughter Stacey (son-in-law Mark), Grandchildren Alicia (Ross), Amanda, Ariana, Jacob, Seth and Dylan; as well as his great grandchildren Avia and Mark Anthony Junior.
He was preceded in death by his brother Everett R. Aikman.
Relatives and Friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 410 North Church Street, West Chester, PA 19380 www.DellaFH.com. followed by his Memorial Service at 11:00 am.
Interment will be private.
