Thoughts and prayers to the Ovelman family at this time. I have very fond memories of Phil, Nancy and Mrs. Ovelman when you would graciously invite our family (all 8 of us) to your home for a fantastic and fun meal. I was very young but still vividly recall Phil as larger than life having returned from serving his country. Many prayers from the Abbott's to your family.

I regret not seeing Dino since 'Nam, in 1971, where he was in my CAP 2-1-3. He was extremely personable, kind, gentle, and giving. He exemplified what a CAP Marine stood for, for he grew to love the South Vietnamese people. He always gave the other person the benefit of the doubt, maybe to a fault. I loved this man, and wished I could have been able to make it there. I kinda had a premonition, I suppose, 'cuz I HAD A TREMENDOUS URGENCY TO MEET UP WITH HIM AFTER 46 YEARS. I, and several others of his CAP were looking forward to seeing him aat the reunion, where 6 of his CAP would have caught up with him after 46 years. Go with GOD, DINO, and you certainly lived up to the motto, "SEMPER FI 'TIL I DIE!!!!!!!"
