Mary C. "Molly" Dixon

Mary C. “Molly” Dixon, a lifetime resident of West Chester, was called to heaven on July 14, 2017. Born on December 1, 1933, she was the fifth of William and Marie McClain’s eight children. Molly attended both St. Agnes Church and School where she met and married Joseph A. Dixon, both graduates of the class of ‘51. Together through sixty years of marriage they raised and enjoyed their six children, ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A devoted mother, Molly also spent over twenty years in the workforce in both Wilmington, DE and West Chester. She was known for many things -- the marble champion of Biddle Street, a meticulous homemaker, an ace keeper of the daily receipts at Ophthalmic Consultants, a reluctant ballroom dancer, a voracious reader always on top of the Oprah book club list, an agile Facebook user and social media quiz participant, and an expert shopper.

Molly is survived by her husband Joe; children Edward, Andrew (Lorrie), Stephen (Maria), JoAnn Uricheck (Michael), Thomas (Nicole), and Amy Bader (Dov); and sisters Sally Street and Peggy Burkenstock. She will be missed by her grandchildren Matthew Dixon (Kaitlyn), Brian Dixon (Kathleen), Daniel Dixon, Patrick Dixon, James Uricheck, Mikaela Uricheck, Julia Uricheck, Jacob Bader, Shane Bader and Rebecca Bader, and by her many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are welcomed to her Visitations on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 7:00 pm -9:00 pm at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith and Boyd Funeral Home, 410 N. Church St. West Chester, PA, 610.696.1181, DellaFH.com and on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am at St. Agnes Church 233 W. Gay St. West Chester, PA; followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 am.

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA
