Margaret E. (Burton) Demyan

Margaret E. Demyan (nee Burton), age 82, of Glen Mills, PA, previously West Chester, PA and Dennisville, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on Monday November 26, 2018.

She was born and raised in Philadelphia, later moving to Ardsley, PA. She met her husband and love of her life, Bob, at Tioga Methodist Church in Philadelphia. Later she was a member of St. James Methodist Church in Olney, where she was a proud Girl Scout leader. In her 40’s and 50’s, she was employed by the American Diabetes Association as a diabetic patient educator, where she was a strong advocate for individuals and families affected by Diabetes. After retiring, Margaret and Bob, moved to Dennisville, NJ. Margaret was a great cook, and was known for her passion for antiques and collectibles, as well as, for the love and care she showed her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Debra Demyan, of Charleston, SC, and Robert James Demyan, Jr. of San Francisco, CA; three grandchildren: Stefanie Anderko (Douglas) of Exton, PA, Julianne Kemmler of Conshohocken, and Alexander Kemmler of Pittsburgh, PA; and a great-granddaughter, Sadie Anderko. She is also survived by her sister, Diane Crumley of Franklin, NC, and brother, Harry Burton (Beth), of Oakton, VA. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her service on Tuesday, December 4 at 11am at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 10 W. Pleasant Grove Rd., West Chester, PA where they may visit with her immediate family beginning at 10:30.
