Lucille A. Shepanski of Woodlyn

Lucille A. Shepanski, 99 of Woodlyn, PA died Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park.

She was the wife of the late Steven R. Shepanski.

Born January 6, 1920 in Georgetown, PA she was the daughter of the late John Dwojeski and the late Victoria Kacjan Dwojeski.

Lucille grew up in Wilkes Barre and moved to Philadelphia at the age of 20. She worked for the J.B. Carr Company and during WWII, she worked at the Bendix Corporation as a riveter. Later in years, she worked at the Atlantic Thrift and the Delco Times.

Lucille was a 65-year member of Our Lady of Peace Church and worked in the cafeteria at the school for many years. She was an artist who loved sewing, gardening and doing needlework. Lucille was also a nanny to many children throughout her life. She was a devoted wife and mother who adored her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Costello of Wilmington, DE, sons, Sonny (Arlene "Scotty") Shepanski of Holmes, Butch (Linda) Shepanski of Springfield, grandchildren, Kelly (Chris) Blackwell, Stephen Shepanski, Jenna Shepanski, greatgrandchildren, Jason Blackwell, Drew Blackwell, Adrianna Shepanski, and a brother, Anthony Dwojeski of Hockessin, DE

She was preceded in death by, six brothers and one sister.

Relatives and Friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 10-11 am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 200 Milmont Ave. Milmont Park, PA 19033; followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 at the church.    

Interment will be held in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
