Joseph P. Lyons

Joseph P. Lyons, 75, died peacefully on December 31, 2018 at Bellingham Senior Living.  He was married to the love of his life Barbara for 54 years.

Born March 17, 1943 in Bridgeport, CT to the late Joseph and Mary Lyons.

He graduated from Fairfield Prep and Norwalk Technical School.  He worked for Perkin-Elmer Corporation and transferred to West Chester, PA in 1976.  In 1984, he started his own business repairing analytical scientific instruments. 

Joe loved the ocean, swimming, and was a lifeguard in high school.  He enjoyed fishing, boating, working on cars and drag racing with his father-in-law.  Joe loved music especially the “oldies”.  He loved a good joke and had a very infectious laugh.  He was kind-hearted, hardworking, and loved animals. 

He was a member of Sts Peter & Paul Parish. 

In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by his loving daughters Jodi McKeller and husband Joe of Oxford, PA, Christine Wood and husband Andrew of San Diego, CA, Amy Lyons of San Diego, CA; 7 grandchildren Jennifer, Lauren, Jim, Allison, Megan, Sarah & Mark, a brother John Lyons, several nieces & nephews.

Relatives and Friends are invited to his visitation Wednesday January 9, 2019 from 10-11am at the SS. Peter & Paul Church 1325 Boot Road West Chester, PA 19380 followed by his Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Brandywine Valley SPCA 1212 Phoenixville Pike West Chester PA and or Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter 399 Market Street Suite 102 Philadelphia, PA 19106.
