1991–2018

It is with great sadness we announce that John Lucas Scott 26, of Lancaster, PA passed away from injuries sustained during a tragic car accident on October 16, 2018 in Spokane, WA. Lucas was born on November 27, 1991 in Gradyville, PA. He was the son of Ellen (Miller) Scott of Lewistown, PA and John Walter Scott III of Georgetown, DE.

He attended West Chester area schools and graduated from Bayard Rustin High School.

Lucas had the ability to light up an entire room with his charismatic smile and infectious laugh. He had a passion for life and loved his family and friends deeply.

He is missed by many including his loving parents Ellen and John; his adoring sister Erin Leigh Scott of New York City, NY; his precious son, Layton Asher Scott of Spokane, WA; and his devoted paternal grandparents, Phillis (Finan) Scott and John W. Scott, Jr. of Media, PA. Lucas is also survived by 12 aunts and uncles and 19 cousins.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Margaret (Crompton) and James Oscar Miller of Lewistown, PA; paternal uncles Stephen E. Scott of Hopeland, PA and Kenneth Mitchell of Wilmington, DE.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at 10AM on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at St. Agnes Church, 233 W. Gay St. West Chester, PA 19380.

Interment will be private.
