To The Pesilo Family:
I am saddened to hear of the passing of Jean Pesilo. I knew her first when she taught me at St Gabriel's elementary school in Norwood, PA. in 1958/59 as a fourth grader and in 1959/60 as a fifth grader. She was "Miss Jean" to us students and I felt blessed to have had her as my teacher two years in a row.I remember her and those classes so vividly as she had all the students totally engaged in learning. We were leaping out of our seats as we tried to out due one another in answering her questions.She made it so much fun!
Thirty-five years after our class left St Gabriel's, we honored her at a class reunion in 1998 . I later knew her ( and Marty) as a fellow congregants at St Maxie's. She will be missed and my memory of her as such a vital teacher in my life will always be remembered with much fondness and gratitude.
