Jay Scott Parkyn

Jay Scott Parkyn, of Philadelphia, PA passed away on October 6, 2018 at the age of 42. 

Jay was born to parents Jay F. Parkyn and Susan Parkyn Soldato on April 23, 1976 in Scranton, PA.

He attended Downingtown Senior High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts culinary degree from Johnson & Wales University. His culinary talents provided him with opportunities to work at esteemed restaurants throughout the country. Jay was an avid sports fan who loved to watch baseball, football and soccer and enjoyed preparing meals for his family and friends.

Jay was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Rev J, Fred Parkyn and Sarah Kennedy, maternal grandparents Joseph and Mabel Hamilton.

Jay is survived by his sister, Lisa Saad, husband Gabriel and niece Ava, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
