Janet Raimato

Janet Raimato, 86, of Landenberg, PA, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2017 surrounded by her family.

She was predeceased by her husband of 17 years, Henry D. Raimato, in 2005.

Janet was formerly from Wilmington, Delaware and retired from Christiana Care, where she worked for 21 years.

After her retirement, she volunteered for Hospice, Avon Grove School District and Jennersville Hospital.

Janet loved to travel and her and her husband, Henry took many trips at home and abroad. Those trips created many fond memories.

After his passing, she continued to take yearly family trips that resulted in her love for the western part of the U.S.

Janet was always active and on the go and joined in various senior groups and activities that brought her new friendships and joy.

She loved to read and always chose books that would take her to places like the beach, which she truly loved.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Sharp(Wayne),  Deborah  Falgowski (Edmond),  Christina Lennick (John),  11 grandchildren and 3+ great grandchildren and her husband, Henry’s children,     Henry (Shirley), Dominic and Vicky (Robert),  5 grandchildren, and  4+great grandchildren

Services will be private  but donations can be made in Janet’s name to the Brandywine River Valley Home, Health and Hospice at 121 Bell Tower Lane, Oxford, PA 19363.

The family would like to acknowledge the doctors and nurses and volunteers at Jennersville  and Christiana Care hospitals, who were so generous, kind and caring to Janet and her family

The family would also like to thank her nephew, James Raimato for all his love and support.

                                                                           A PRAYER

When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room. Why cry for a soul set free.  Miss me a little, but not too long, and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared. Miss me, but let me go. For this is a journey  that we all must take, and each must go alone. It’s all a part of the Master’s plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know, and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss me, but let me go.
