James R. Buck, 86 of West Chester, PA, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia, PA.
He was the husband of June Pierce Buck.
Born November 27, 1931 in Clearfield, PA, he was the son of the late Harry Buck and the late Mary Bain Buck.
Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a successful entrepreneur and avid outdoorsman, enjoying golf, horses and hunting through the years. Jim served in the Marine Corp and fought in the Korean War, earning one of our country’s highest honors, the Purple Heart. Jim was elected as a Supervisor in Edgemont Township in Delaware County. He was an active member of the Hershey’s Mill Gold Club in West Chester. Jim and June spent time in both Pennsylvania and Florida during their retirement years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Deborah Viscuso and her husband Joseph, Steven Buck and his wife Shannon, Scott Buck and his wife Sarah and Lisa Stedman; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; stepsons, John Cigler and his husband Patrick and James Cigler; siblings Delmont Buck and David Buck.
He was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters.
