Gerald Clyde Peppel, 78 of West Chester, died Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester.
He was the husband of the late Virginia Deaver Peppel, and the former husband of Margaret Elizabeth Gowdy.
Born August 3, 1939 in Kittanning, PA, he was the youngest son of the late Raymond C. Peppel and the late Lena Catherine Fitzgerald Peppel.
Gerald served in the Naval Reserves, stationed at Willow Grove, PA.
He worked for Bell Telephone, where he retired as a Supervisor.
He enjoyed family genealogy and collecting antiques, especially military items and music boxes.
Gerald was a member of the West Chester Masonic Lodge #322 F&AM, Sons of American Revolution War of 1812, and the Sons of Union Veterans.
Gerald is survived by his children, Andrew Scott Peppel (Melanie), Stephen Keith Peppel (Darlene) and David Scott Peppel; grandchildren, Shane, Sean, Shannon and Kevin; sister, Florence Weller.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Doris Longacre, Lela Magdy, Raymond Peppel and Gerald Peppel.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 9-10am at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 N. Church St. West Chester, PA 19380, 610-696-1181, www.DellaFH.com; A Masonic Service will be held at 10am, followed by his Funeral Service.
Interment will be held in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA.
