Gary R. Block

Gary R. Block, 74 of Phoenixville, PA and West Chester passed away on March 3, 2019 at Wayne Nursing Center.

He was the husband of Bonnie Block.

Born August 2, 1944 in Newark, NJ he was the son of the late Sol Block and the late Phoebe Sugarman Block.

Gary graduated from American University and Dickson Law School.

He had worked as an attorney for Legal Aid of Chester County and in private practice. Gary was a member and past president of the Kesher Israel Congregation. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.  

Gary enjoyed politics, music, travel, movies and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by his daughter Jacalyn Weis, her husband Mark Weis, and grandchildren Jacob and Julia Weis.

Shiva/Minyan service will be observed on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 7:30pm at the home of Dr. & Mrs. Sheldon Lebovitz 789 Bass Cove, Malvern, PA 19355; and on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 7:30pm at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Mark Weis 3314 Ellington Ln. Phoenixville, PA 19460.
