Francis (Hink) McCool, passed away November 19, 2017 at the Chester County Hospital. 

He was the husband of Dede (Sicoli) McCool celebrating 61 years of marriage. 

Hink was born in West Chester, PA, February 2, 1932, and was the son of the late Harry and Alice Baer McCool. He resided in West Chester all his life. 

He served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1953-1954. 

He loved basketball and refereed for High School basketball games for many years.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing.  Hink loved to travel with his wife, and golfed at all those locations. 

He retired from the Bell Telephone Company in 1992 after 37 years. He volunteered his time and experience to Habitat for Humanity. 

Hink was a member of GAARP, an organization of men who golfed in a league, and he loved winning the door prizes at their banquets.  He was also a member of the American Legion, and the Pioneers (Bell Telephone).  He did income tax preparation for senior citizens through AARP, and was a minority chairman in his voting precinct. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Lee (McCool) Morrett (Kent) of Virginia, one son, Francis W. McCool, Jr. (Karen) of West Chester, three granddaughters Lindsay Johnson (Alan), Audrey Dubie (Dave), Hannah Medrano (Dennys), and two great grandchildren, and one sister, Virginia Brown of West Chester. 

He was preceded in death by two sisters Alice Kohlmeyer and Jeanne Whiteman, two brothers Harry McCool and Raymond McCool.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation from 10:00am-11:00am on Friday, November 24, 2017 at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 N. Church St. West Chester, PA 19380, 610-696-1181, www.DellaFH.com; followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00am.

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester.
