Frances (“Frankie”) Dawson, 91, of West Chester, PA, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018.
She was the wife of the late William J. Dawson, Sr.
Frankie grew up in Malvern, PA, where she was member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She graduated from St. Katherine’s High School in Wayne, PA. She later lived in West Chester, PA, and became a long-time parishioner at St. Agnes Catholic Church.
In her final years at the Bellingham Retirement Home, her friend Betty Barnes sent her the weekly bulletins from St. Agnes while the Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist from St. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church brought her communion.
Frankie was retired from Chester County Hospital where she worked in the billing department.
Frankie is survived by her sons Bill Dawson, Jr. (Betty) and Joe Dawson and her daughters, Frances White (Tony), Anne Renahan (Jack), and Marie Dawson-Holland (Dan); six grandchildren, Bill Dawson (Leigh), Mark Dawson (Kim), Matt Dawson (Shelley), Maggie Lyon (Chris), Jim Renahan (Alex), and Matt White (Kate); and seven great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitations on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 6-8PM at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 N. Church St. West Chester, PA 19380, 610-696-1181, www.DellaFH.com and on Friday, August 10th from 9-10AM at St. Agnes Church, 233 W. Gay St. West Chester, PA 19380; followed by her Funeral Mass at 10AM.
Interment will be held in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester.
