David H. Voorhees, 76, of West Chester, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 at home, surrounded by loved ones.
He was the husband of 50 years of Catherine Durant Voorhees, father of Carolyn Voorhees Scherer and Cynthia Voorhees, grandfather of Jimmy and Julia Scherer. He was born March 2, 1942, in Oak Park, IL.
David graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology and spent his career as an architect. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves during the Vietnam War. David served as a deacon in the Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed composing and playing music, model railroading, writing poetry and drawing cartoons.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation from 10-11am on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church of West Chester, 130 W. Miner St. West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be private.
