Candida T. Mitchelli of Coatesville.

Candida T. Mitchelli, 99 of Coatesville, PA, died Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at her home.

She was the wife of the late James H. Mitchelli.

Born June 29, 1918 in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late R. Jerome Thompson and the late Candida de Hoyos Thompson.

Candida had worked as a Packer for the Continental Can Company.

She was a member of the Church of The Holy Trinity, and enjoyed playing cards, game shows, needlepoint, crafts and dancing.  Candida also loved cocktail hour, music, her trips to the casino and traveling.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Spitz of Ocean City, MD, son, Dennis Spitz and his wife Bonnie of Coatesville, PA, daughter, Susan Ross of West Chester, PA, step-children, James Mitchelli, Michelle Hughes and Tony Hadley, brother, Jerome Thompson of FL, grandchildren, Kim, Joe, Dawn, Candida & Wendy, great grandchildren, Courtney, Thomas, Matthew, Christopher, David, Melissa, Jeffrey, Joe, Christina, Phil & Peter. Also survived by 11 great great grandchildren and her beloved cat Ginger of 14 years.

She was preceded in death by her former husband’s Coleman Spitz, John Alleva, and daughter-in-law, Angeline Spitz.

Relatives and Friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 9:00-10:30 am at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 410 North Church Street, West Chester, PA 19380, 610-696-1181, www.DellaFH.com; followed by her Funeral Service at 10:30.

Interment will be held in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA.
