Anthony Capodanno

Anthony Capodanno, 80 of West Chester, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, July 15, 2019 at Coatesville VA Medical Center.

Beloved husband of Joan Capodanno, they celebrated 55 years of marriage together.

Born April 20, 1939 in Drexel Hill, PA he was the son of the late Vincent Capodanno and late Concetta Rubicondo Capodanno.

Anthony graduated from St. Thomas Moore in Philadelphia. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1961.

Anthony was a true Renaissance man, in addition to his innate ability to build or fix anything with ease, he owned several successful businesses throughout his career, most notably his gas and service stations in Philadelphia and the Main Line. Anthony had many friends and was referred to by many nicknames, but his favorite was Pup-pup.  Anthony loved the Phillies and baseball, his beach house in Ocean City, NJ and a good cup of coffee.  His smile was contagious, and he most enjoyed spending his time with his family and grandchildren.

Anthony is survived by his wife, Joan, his daughter Rayna, and sons Anthony Jr. and Vincent; their wives Stephanie and Melissa; his grandchildren, Zaid, Noah, Ava, Luca and Anthony III.

Relatives and Friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 10:00 am - 11:30 am at SS. Peter and Paul Church, 1325 Boot Rd. West Chester, PA 19380; followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 am. 

Interment will be held in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery & Garden Mausoleum, Springfield, PA.
