Peter Henry Griffin

Peter Henry Griffin, 65, of West Chester, PA passed away Sunday March 31, 2024.

Born May 9, 1958 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late James Henry Griffin and the late Mary Ellen Griffin Hearn (nee McCloskey).

Peter grew up in Drexel Hill, PA and graduated from Upper Darby High School. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree from Mount Saint Mary’s University.

He loved going to Strathmere, NJ in the summer and was a lifeguard on the beach there as a young adult. He spent the majority of his career working in insurance sales. In recent years, he was a concierge at Merrill Gardens Senior Living Center, which gave him much pride. He loved Philadelphia sports, especially the Phillies and Eagles, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his three sons, Alex, Ken, and Chris Griffin; siblings Marion (Gordon) Simmons, Maureen Griffin, Cecelia (John) Grace, Mark (Leanna) Griffin; and many loving nieces and nephews. His brother, the late James Griffin, Jr., preceded him in death.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday, April 5, 2024, 12:30 pm – 1:15 pm at SS. Simon & Jude Church 8 Cavanaugh Court West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his Funeral Mass at 1:30 pm.

Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania.
