William E. "Bill" Gallagher

William E. "Bill" Gallagher of West Chester.

William E. "Bill" Gallagher, 85 of West Chester, PA, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at home.

He was the husband of Mary Jane Trombetto Gallagher with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.

Born January 24, 1932 in Lowellville, OH, he was the son of the late John Gallagher and the late Elsie Thiel Gallagher.

Bill served his country in the Army during the Korean War. 

He was a graduate of Geneva College with a BS in Engineering.

Bill was an engineer for Arco Chemical for over 20 years.  After retirement, he consulted for 10 years with Comalloy International, as well as other corporations.

He enjoyed fishing, swimming, diving, and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Shawn Gallagher of Taiwan, Scott Gallagher (Donna) of Rising Sun, MD, Susan Willenbrock (Stephen) of Downingtown, William Gallagher (Audra) of Coatesville; grandchildren, Lauren (Adam), Katie, Dieter, Malory, Josh, Corinne and Hope.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Patty Mears.

Relatives and Friends are invited to his visitation on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 9:00-10:00 am at St. Agnes Church, 233 W. Gay St. West Chester, PA 19380; followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 am.

Interment will be held in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Agnes Church "Adult Choir", and/or St. Agnes Day Room at the above church address.
