Will R. Felker

August 23, 1925 ~ August 30, 2017 (age 92) 92 Years Old


Will R. Felker, 92, formerly of West Chester, PA, passed away Wednesday August 30, 2017 at St. Martha Manor in Downingtown.  He was the devoted husband of the late Evon M. "Evie" Spalding Felker, the love of his life with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.

Born August 23, 1925 in McAlester, OK. He was the only child of the late Mitchell H. Felker and the late Effie P. Roark Felker, who fondly called him Billy Bob.

On May 21, 1943 he graduated from McAlester High School. After High School he enlisted in the US. Army Air Force.  Following his service to our country, he continued his education studying engineering at Wichita State University. 

He was a project engineer at Boeing Vertol and retired after 41 years of service.  In his spare time, Will enjoyed working on household projects, traveling, camping, and especially spending time with family.

A former member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish in West Chester, PA, Will was a member of the Blue Army and was active in pro-life efforts.

He is survived by 4 children Jill M. VanDerPoel (Michael C.), Kimberly A. Thomson (R. Kent), Elizabeth L. Leaf (Francis J.), and Robert T. Felker Sr (Ann Marie).  He was predeceased by daughters Rita Felker and Theresa K.  Felker.  He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm at St. Agnes Church, 233 W. Gay St. West Chester, PA; followed by his Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm.  The Interment will be held in St. Agnes Cemetery West Chester PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Chester County Pro-Life Coalition, 590 Snyder Avenue, West Chester, PA 19382or the Red Cross relief effort for the flood victims of hurricane Harvey (https://www.redcross.org/donate/hurricane-harvey).
